Cookie Policy

Last Updated: March 12, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Milan Movement Academy Canada Inc. (“Milan Movement Academy”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly.

1) What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help a site remember preferences, maintain a session, and understand how pages are used. Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (kept for a set period).

In addition to cookies, some measurement and advertising tools use pixel tags and similar identifiers. These technologies typically operate by reading or writing identifiers in the browser, collecting events such as page views or form confirmations. When used, they are governed by the same categories described below and are activated only when the appropriate consent is given.

Cookies can also be classified as first-party (set by our website) or third-party (set by external providers whose tools may be embedded on our pages).

2) Why we use cookies

Milan Movement Academy uses cookies to run the site reliably, protect it from misuse, and—when you choose—measure usage so we can improve clarity, navigation, and content quality. Some organizations also choose to enable marketing measurement tools to understand which campaigns lead to enquiries; when those tools are enabled, they are treated as marketing cookies and require consent.

Our approach is standards-led and intentionally conservative: we aim to collect only what is necessary for site continuity and participant support. Educational purposes only. Information is general educational guidance. Individual outcomes may vary. No guarantees are provided. Participants remain responsible for their own decisions.

3) Cookie categories we use

Essential cookies (always on)

These cookies are required for the website to function and to remember your consent choice. They support basic features such as session continuity, security, and preference storage. Because they are necessary for operation, they do not require opt-in consent.

Analytics cookies (optional)

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site—such as which pages are read most often, how long content is viewed, and where navigation becomes unclear. When enabled, we typically use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) configured for privacy-conscious measurement, including IP anonymization and limited data retention (commonly 14 months).

Analytics cookies are used to improve educational content quality, page structure, and accessibility. They are not required to contact us or to use site features.

Marketing cookies (optional)

Marketing cookies are used for advertising measurement and relevant messaging. They can help connect an enquiry to a campaign, build remarketing audiences, and measure conversion attribution. When enabled, these cookies may be set by providers such as Google Ads and Meta.

We do not use marketing cookies to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. You can choose to accept or reject marketing cookies at any time using the cookie preferences controls described below.

4) Cookie table

The table below lists cookies commonly used on this site and in the optional measurement tools that may be enabled with consent. Some third-party cookie names can vary by configuration. When optional tools are not enabled, related third-party cookies may not be present.

Name Purpose Category Type Retention
_site_session Site session continuity Essential First-party Session
cookie_consent Stores your consent choice Essential First-party 12 months
_ga GA4 user identifier Analytics Third-party 2 years
_ga_XXXXXXXXXX GA4 session state (10-char GA4 ID) Analytics Third-party 2 years
_gcl_au Google Ads conversion linker Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbp Meta Pixel browser identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days
_fbc Meta Pixel click identifier Marketing Third-party 90 days

Note: Some cookies listed above are associated with optional tools. We do not load third-party analytics or marketing scripts by default in this site build. If these tools are added later, they should be activated only after consent, and this policy remains the reference for categories and retention.

5) Third-party providers

Where enabled, we may use the following providers for analytics and marketing measurement. These providers may process identifiers (such as cookie IDs), device information, and usage events. We do not permit these providers to use site data for their own independent commercial purposes.

  • Google LLC (Google Analytics 4; Google Ads measurement and remarketing)
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Meta Pixel and conversion measurement)
  • Cloudflare, Inc. (content delivery network and security services)

If you would like more detail about how these providers handle data, please review their privacy notices. You can also limit or block third-party cookies through your browser settings.

6) Managing your cookie preferences

You can manage cookie preferences in the following ways:

A practical note

Choosing “Reject Non-Essential” will keep essential cookies active and disable analytics and marketing cookies. If analytics or marketing cookies were previously set, rejecting can also remove certain cookies where possible. Your preference is stored in the cookie_consent cookie.

7) Updates to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in site functionality, measurement practices, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide a notice on the website before changes take effect.
